confession is good for the soul

"One of the great longings of our generation is for someone to explain how we can be forgiven of the guilt we feel."

Do you think so?

A wise woman once told me that guilt is the price of Motherhood. I didn;t know what that meant when I was preganant, but now as a mother of 2, I get it. I feel guilty about what I don't od, what I do, if it is enough, if it is too much...I TOTALLy agree wih this!

Hi Cynthia

Thanks for your comment. I was a little surprised by the article that I got the quote from and then the more that I thought about it, the more I felt that it was really insightful.

It seems like every woman I meet these days who is just beginning their journey with Christ has one big issue - guilt. Many of them are really trapped - even paralyzed - until they can understand and accept grace. I think it's a very true statement.

@ Beth

Thanks for your comment. I hadn't found it something that I had really noticed, but I'm listening for it now. And I'm wondering how much of it has to do with a difficulty forgiving ourselves, in addition to other aspects.
